An Oracle
1 This is the word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him, declares: 2 "I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. 4 On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness," declares the LORD. "I will keep a watchful eye over the house of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations.

The Israeli government is also in support of this plan ....Will God prevail and prove tbhat His word is true?
WASHINGTON - US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is to arrive to Israel Sunday in an effort to bridge the gaps between Israeli and Palestinian negotiating positions before the Annapolis conference set to take place at the end of the month.
Rice will attempt to promote a compromise on the joint declaration that will address Israeli security concerns and the Palestinians' desire for statehood. US Vice President Dick Cheney confirmed on Friday that the Middle East peace conference in Annapolis, Maryland is currently scheduled for the end of November after the Thanksgiving holidays.
"There is much work to be done to prepare the ground for Annapolis," Cheney said. David Welch, Secretary Rice's aide on Middle East affairs, is already in Israel and has been meeting with both sides in order to bring the two sides closer together on the joint declaration. Welch has suggested a possible compromise that would place the US in charge of verifying if security commitments have been carried out as per the Road Map peace plan.
Secretary Rice's visit is intended to urge both Israelis and Palestinians to agree on an acceptable version of the joint declaration. However, it appears that Rice does not intend to pressure either side too vigorously in order to avoid torpedoing the talks.
The Israeli position envisions the joint declaration containing a proclamation that touches on "a Palestinian political horizon" without setting a timetable for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
